If you click on its prompt to “Open a new window somewhere in the world,” WindowSwap will offer you a local, looking-out-the-window view from around the planet, care of someone living there.

Watch a cityscape in Esteio Brazil or Hyderabad India or North Holland Netherlands… snow in County Antrim Ireland… birds on feeders in Edmonton, Alberta Canada… a sunny, breezy day in Knoxfield Victoria, Australia…

Co-founders Sonali Ranjit & Vaishnav Balasubramaniam describe it as the calmest place on the internet, “where people from around the world share the view from their windows to help someone else — whether to relax, focus, meditate or travel without moving.” [Window views are submitted, reviewed and approved — some are pre-recorded, many are live, current-time.]

Offering a sense of the project’s scope, this collaborative music video features 50 windows in 30 countries:

Sonali & Vaishnav add, “We hope you enjoy this labour of global love as much as we enjoyed creating it.”
